Nurses & Health Care Assistants
Our Practice Nursing team help manage chronic conditions, treat wounds, apply dressings and can provide emergency first aid as well as taking blood samples, providing vaccinations, travel swabs, smears and samples.
The Health Care Assistants work as part of the nursing team, assisting trained nurses and other health care professionals in the delivery of highest standard patient care, ensuring that this is sensitive to the need of the patient.
They have varied duties, involving direct patient care, administrative or basic screening tasks. You may see our Health Care Assistants carrying out tasks such as health checks, taking blood samples and doing health promotion or health education work.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the Practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries.
They represent a committed and hard working team, here to help you see the doctor or nurse, undertake repeat prescriptions, answer questions and give any other assistance you may need.
All our receptionists are involved in continual professional training. Please remember that they are also bound by the same code of confidentiality as our GPs and nursing team.
They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with: prescription enquiries, financial claims, patient records and carrying out searches and Practice audits.
